Since the establishment of the county, Jinhu has been carrying forward the spirit of Yao culture and determination, firmly practicing the new development concept and promoting high-quality development, and has been rated as one of the top 100 counties in the country in terms of investment potential, scientific and technological innovation and green development. The county has been awarded as an advanced county in Jiangsu Province for two consecutive years for promoting high quality development.

At the meeting, Jin Baoping delivered the opening speech; Gong Chang read out the approval on the establishment of the Yao Culture Research Base of Jiangsu Jinhu of the Chinese Society of Pre-Qin History; the unveiling ceremony of the Yao Culture Research Base of Jiangsu Jinhu of the Chinese Society of Pre-Qin History and the Yao Culture Research Association of Jinhu was held.
